A smooth first connection
Support
Set up Dragonfly in a few minutes.
1. Install the apps
Install Dragonfly on your iPhone from the App Store. Install the free Dragonfly Server companion app on your Mac from its official distribution page or the Mac App Store when available. Your Mac must run macOS 14 or later.
2. Allow Mac permissions
Open Dragonfly Server. It appears in the Mac menu bar. When prompted, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and enable Dragonfly Server. This permission lets it move the pointer, click and type for you.
3. Connect your iPhone
Put both devices on the same Wi-Fi network, open Dragonfly on your iPhone, and allow Local Network access. The app connects automatically. Bluetooth can act as a backup connection.
Common fixes
No connection: confirm both devices are on the same network, then quit and reopen Dragonfly Server.
Pointer does not move: confirm Dragonfly Server is enabled in Accessibility settings.
Mac is not discovered: check that Local Network access is enabled for Dragonfly on the iPhone and that the Mac firewall allows the app.
